Garden Education & Design       Edible Landscapes & Organic CSA

A CSA is a community-supported farm or subscription garden-share. We sell shares of the anticipated harvest to members who help support our work, which puts beautiful veggies in your belly! More importantly, it’s a sustainable system that allows us to bring an abundance of healthy food to you. By sharing the ups and downs of the growing year, we prosper as growers and you learn how the farm system works.

TELL US WHAT YOU WANT

HOW WE OPERATE…
From Memorial Day to Thanksgiving, seasonal weather permitting, you’ll come to the farm once a week on Fridays from 4:30-7:30 pm to pick up your “share” which consists of what’s growing at that time. Obviously this changes over the course of the growing season. Another way you can help us is by spending a little time in the garden each month tending to chores with our interns.

COSTS…
The seasonal share cost is $650. Half shares are $350. We require a $100 deposit by March 1st, and the balance by May 1st (if you need to do it by the month we’ll work with you). The amount and variety of produce changes over time based on what’s coming into season. It’s eating with a seasonal rhythm.

WHAT WE OFFER…
We grow a large assortment of both common and unique organic and biodynamic vegetables, some fruit, flowers, and culinary herbs, including ethnic veggies. You’ll learn how the seasonal varieties change over the months, and we’ll offer recipes to help you cook the yummiest meals. We strive to keep all-time favorites, such as greens, available all the time, although the varieties will vary. Eventually we hope to have our own eggs as well, and based on your needs we hope to offer other staples like bread, cheeses, jams, etc. Besides the fruits of our labor, we also offer something more intangible –  a community which is sharing and supporting this experience together.

WHAT

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU RUN OUT…
If you run out of veggies early in the week, or have a big dinner or event coming up and want more, you are welcome to come to the farm to purchase more produce, for which we will charge you as if you were at a farmer’s market. This is not considered part of your share, but we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Just let us know ahead of time, if possible.

WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING ON THE FARM…
We plan to host farm-to-table potluck dinners during June, July, and August, in the middle of the garden. Combining the culinary genius of friends and farm-share members, this will be a feast amidst the garden’s full splendor right here at COME ALONG FARM.

CLASS OFFERINGS AND FARM TOURS…
Besides being growers, Tim and I are both educators who love to teach folks what we are doing. Please look for the seasonal class offerings on our website. We teach basic and advanced gardening skills, tool-care and making, how to build garden structures, crafting herbal products, food preservation and more. We’re also collaborating with our good friend, Kristin Perry, owner of The Kitchen Potager
(www.thekitchenpotager.com) in Ottsville to offer various classes.   BACK TO TOP

THE BACKBONE OF THE GARDEN - The Interns…
If you’re interested in being an intern, we’re looking for a few hard workers of any age who want to learn the ways of the garden. We offer a work-share for all interns who work a minimum of two days per week. We’re flexible on hours and days of the week, and don’t mind if you take a yoga break when you need to!

LET US KNOW WHAT YOU LOVE TO EAT…
We want you to just love what you get in your basket each week, so before the season gets going please let us know what your favorite foods are so we can integrate them into our cornucopia of offerings. The sooner we know the better, so please send us an email at info@justoneseed.com

With great hope for a bountiful season,  Eve & Tim
